Colonial Motors PLC was founded in 1909 by Mr. Geo Fred Nell the Managing Director; the company was then known as G. F. Nell & Company LTD. It started off as a Motor Engineering company and later advanced to provide Automobiles to Sri Lanka. It had been the Sole Agent for Land Rover for over 48 years since 1948. We have had some of the renowned world brands such as Fiat, Nash, Citron Cars, Rover Cars, Alfa Romeo, Land Rovers, Francis Barnett Motor Bikes, Lambrate Scooter & Champion Spark Plugs.

CM Holdings PLC is a Public Quoted Company listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange and is a member of Colombo Fort Land Building PLC. Colonial Motors Ceylon Ltd is 100% owned subsidiary of its parent company and is the authorized distributor for Mazda vehicles in Sri Lanka and Maldives. Our key businesses comprise of importing, distributing, servicing of Mazda vehicles and spare parts. We currently provide a range of spare parts for Mazda, Land Rover & TATA vehicles.

Colonial Motors have invested in a ‘State of the Art’ service center for its customers at Palawatte, Battaramulla and at Peliyagoda; with trained staff and latest equipment including electronic diagnostic system, vehicle aligning and special tooling to accommodate servicing of Mazda Skyactiv Engines. Our customers have the option of booking a service through our website; the schedule calendar would aid the customer to book a time convenient to them. The facilities include pick up and drop, whilst customer who drive in have a comfortable waiting lounge to rest whilst their vehicle is serviced
